Abstract: The implementation of HR strategies within business units holds significant importance in fostering a conducive work environment for employees. Among various influencing factors, the demographic profile of employees plays a pivotal role in shaping the workplace atmosphere for individuals. This research aims to investigate how HR strategies employed by pharmaceutical companies affect employee performance amidst the COVID-19 crisis. Using a sample of 64 employees from Gujarat state, the study employs techniques such as frequency distribution, descriptive analysis, factor analysis, tests of normality, and non-parametric tests (Kruskal Wallis Test & Mann Whitney U Test) to assess the impact of demographic factors (such as age, gender, education qualification, and annual income) and HR strategy factors (including organization support and well-being, recruitment and selection, job rotation and training, and leave policy) on employee performance. The findings of this study underscore the crucial relationship between demographic factors and HR strategies, indicating that aspects like organization support, recruitment, job rotation, and leave policies significantly influence employee performance. These insights are valuable for both government entities and management within pharmaceutical industries, offering actionable understanding into employees' needs and preferences to ensure a harmonious and efficient work environment.
