Abstract: Introduction: Renal failure is a common and catastrophic complication of chronic kidney disease (CKD),which is characterised by gradual kidney function loss and degradation of the kidney parenchyma. Boerhaviadiffusa (BD) is said to have rejuvenating effects in Ayurvedic literature, particularly in relation to the urinarysystem.To evaluate effect of ethanolic extract of BD in adenine induced chronic kidney disease rats and whether it may prevent chronic renal disease in wistar male rats that was brought on by adenine.
