Abstract: Objective: The objective of this study was to investigate the association between oral health status and glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) levels among children with type 1 diabetes. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted on 30 pediatric patients (aged 6-16 years) diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. The participants were recruited from a pediatric diabetes clinic and their demographic and medical history data were collected. Oral health assessments were performed by a qualified dental professional, and the following parameters were recorded: Decayed, Missing, and Filled Teeth (DMFT) index, plaque index, gingival index, and the presence of dental caries.
