Beyond Face-to-Face: Delving into Candidates’ Perspectives on Virtual Interviews

1Ramachandran RV, Dr. Rhytheema Dulloo

Abstract: In recent years, the traditional face-to-face interview has undergone a significant transformation due to technological advancements and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Virtual interviews have emerged as a viable alternative, enabling remote interactions between candidates and employers. However, little is known about candidates or job applicants’ reactions to this new mode of interview. In this context, the present research aims to delve into the shifting paradigms of interviews, explore the perspective of candidates towards the virtual mode of interview, identify patterns of motivation, and identify challenges faced in virtual interviews
