A Randomized clinical trial using artificial intelligence to shorten wait times and boost customer satisfaction in pediatric outpatient services

Abstract

Outpatient operations that are complicated are accompanied by a lot of paperwork and drawn-out wait times. We want to reduce wait times and raise visitor satisfaction. We created a programmed called Smart-doctor that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to aid users. At MGH Medical Centre, a randomized controlled trial was carried out. Participants were split into two groups—one with AI assistance and the other without. In the AI-assisted group, As a medical assistant, Smart-Doctor was employed An electronic medical satisfaction survey was requested to be completed following the visit. The queuing time was the main outcome, and the consultation and testing periods, time spent total and satisfied rating were the secondary objectives.
