Patellofemoral pain syndrome (PFPS) is a common musculoskeletal condition characterized by pain around or behind the patella, typically aggravated by activities such as squatting, running, and stair climbing. Exercise-based interventions are often prescribed as part of the conservative management of PFPS, with hip and knee strengthening exercises being commonly used. However, there is limited evidence on the comparative effectiveness of these two approaches.
