Abstract

Background: Dental Professionals are extremely prone to musculoskeletal disorders mainly due to their working position and long hours of practice. Neck pain is the most frequent type of pain encountered by dentists worldwide. Aim: This survey tries to assess the prevalence of neck pain among dental professionals, identify the speciality of dentistry which is affected the most along with the effect of duration of practice and regular physical activity. Setting and Design: Questionnaire‑based survey. Methodology: An observational study was then conducted among 400 dental practitioners in the state of Tamil Nadu and 372 participants responded.
