The medical management of pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (PNET) relies on several pharmacotherapeutic and surgical interventions. Patients with PNET of small dimensions and tumor location beyond the pancreatic duct require enucleation, while those with large-sized PNET become the candidates for distal pancreatectomy or pancreatoduodenectomy.
