This review article discusses the properties, advantages, and challenges associated with the use of aluminum materials in building facades from a chemical perspective. We present a comprehensive analysis of aluminum's material properties, alloy compositions, surface treatments, and environmental impacts. Additionally, we identify research gaps and provide recommendations for future studies to enhance the performance and sustainability of aluminum in building facades. The results contribute to a better understanding of aluminum materials for architects, engineers, and researchers working in the field of facade engineering and materials science.
