This study aims to explore the nuanced influence of cultural factors on the perception and expression of psychotic symptoms within psychiatric populations characterized by cultural heterogeneity. Aim: The primary objective of this research is to assess how cultural factors contribute to variations in the presentation of psychotic symptoms among individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. By understanding these influences, we aim to enhance diagnostic accuracy, treatment efficacy, and overall mental health outcomes for culturally diverse psychiatric populations. Methods: This study employs a comprehensive mixed-methods approach, integrating both qualitative and quantitative methodologies. Cross-cultural interviews, cultural competence assessments, and standardized psychometric tools will be utilized to gather data from psychiatric patients representing a broad spectrum of cultural backgrounds. The analysis will involve qualitative coding for themes and patterns, as well as statistical analyses to quantify the impact of cultural factors on symptomatology. Results: Preliminary findings indicate substantial variations in the perception and expression of psychotic symptoms across diverse cultural groups. Cultural nuances, belief systems, and social contexts significantly shape the way individuals experience and articulate their psychiatric symptoms.
