Abstract

BACKGROUND: Urinary tract infections are one of the most common bacterial infections occurring in children that may cause short term morbidity when not treated early or undertreated due to life-threatening urosepsis. Platelet parameters such as MPV are newly emerging markers of inflammation for early diagnosis and management of UTI. AIM- The purpose of this study is to assess the utility of platelet parameters in the early detection and management of urinary tract infection.
