The excessive reliance on petroleum chemicals in the manufacture of polymers is one of the main issues with economic and environmental sustainability. With an emphasis on medical and environmental issues, this article provides an overview of the current state of knowledge on the characteristics, compounding techniques, and uses of biopolymers paired with biosensors. Consequently, this article is focused on polymer materials that are ecologically beneficial. The paper provides a summary of the current state of knowledge about the characteristics, compounding techniques, and uses of biopolymers mixed with biosensors, with an emphasis on medical and environmental issues. The study discusses both potential and the existing level of knowledge.
