Abstract

The collaboration between dentists and pharmacists in adjusting medication doses for pediatric patients with dental conditions is a critical aspect of ensuring optimal treatment outcomes and patient safety. This review article explores the importance of interdisciplinary communication and cooperation between these healthcare professionals in the context of managing medication regimens for children with dental issues. The unique challenges and considerations involved in adjusting medication doses for pediatric patients with dental conditions are discussed, along with the potential benefits of a collaborative approach in enhancing treatment efficacy and minimizing adverse effects. Various case studies and research findings are examined to illustrate the impact of coordinated care between dentists and pharmacists in optimizing medication therapy for this vulnerable patient population.
