Background: Gynoid lipodystrophy, or cellulite is superficial pockets of trapped fat causing the uneven dimpling of skin commonly in women. It has a cosmetic concern and may induce negative psycho-social side-effects. Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) is effective in treating this condition, but need further high quality studies. Aim of this study was to investigate the effects of ESWT on skinfold and severity of cellulite.
