Background: For over ten years, the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) has carried out practice profile surveys to assess fluctuations in the availability and need for dermatology professionals in our field. Methods: AAD members who practice dermatology receive the AAD Practice Profile Survey through a combination of electronic mail and traditional postal mail, reaching a randomly selected group of participants.
