Abstract

Novel 1, 3, 4-Thiadiazol derivatives, New Pyrazole, and related substances in synthesised form, bearing nicotinoyl moiety. By using elemental analysis, FT-IR, 1H NMR, and 13C NMR, the structures of all the synthesised compounds have been verified. With ampicillin as a reference antibiotic, freshly synthesised compounds were tested in vitro for antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, and Staphylococcus pyogenes. Good bacterial activity was reported for compounds 6e and 7a. Activities against the tested strains of bacteria and fungus were reported to be inconsistent and low.
