The present study attempts to identify the important dimensions of HR challenges in Indian commercial banks. The study follows the post-positivism worldview, and it is typically seen as an approach to quantitative research based on self-structured questionnaire with 360 respondents (participations) of public and private sector banks in Varanasi Zone in 2:1 ratio of public and private and 1:2 ratio of managerial and non-managerial cadre of employees .respectively. The sampling unit consists of employees working in 52 branches of public sector banks and 20 branches of private banks in Varanasi Zone.
