Background: Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) prevalence is increasing, concomitant with the global obesity epidemic in many nations. Obesity, and other components of metabolic syndrome are all strongly correlated with NAFLD. Bariatric surgery is a highly reproducible and reliable management procedure for clinically severe obesity and its associated comorbidities. The aim of the current work was to assess the effect of Laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG) on hepatic steatosis and fibrosis in patients with NAFLD.
