Major depression or bipolar disorder is a serious global health and social problem that affects millions of individuals and has a major impact on their health and quality of life. Ketamine (2-(2-chlorophenyl)-2-(methylamino)-cyclohexanone) belongs to class of arylcyclohexylamine. This review went through the broad literature survey of article, published at various reputed platforms like Scopus, PubMed, ScienceDirect etc. demonstrating antidepressant action of ketamine in animal or human models.
