Endometriosis is regarded as a spectrum disease with a wide range of subtypes and clinical manifestations. Endometriosis must be found to be present outside of (ectopic) the uterus in order to be defined histologically. These ectopic lesions are frequently found on the peritoneum and pelvic organs. They may occasionally exist in the bladder, kidneys, lungs, and even the brain, among other body organs. Regarding behavioral characteristics, research has been done on the connection between dietary preferences, alcohol and caffeine consumption, smoking, and physical activity in relation to involvement in developing endometriosis.
