Rapid diagnostic tests play a crucial role in the timely and accurate assessment of patients in various healthcare settings, including nursing triage. The use of these tests can help healthcare providers make quick decisions regarding patient care, leading to improved outcomes and resource allocation. This review will examine the current evidence surrounding the use of rapid diagnostic tests in nursing triage, including their accuracy, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and impact on patient outcomes.
