Wheat (Triticum Aestivum L.) belongs to Graminae family has a dominant position in agriculture sector. Biotic and abiotic stresses are the main culprits in reduction of wheat productivity. Among the biotic stresses, leaf rust (Puccinia triticina), yellow rust (Puccinia striiformis) and stem rust (Piccinia graminis) severely affect the production of wheat crops, causing economic losses worldwide. This trial was executed with the objective to unveil a rust resistant and highly productive bread wheat genotype(s) from the selected genotypes. Results indicates that genotypes ESWYT-107 and Sunhery were found moderately resistant to leaf rust with disease severity of 10.55 to 12.21% respectively. Moreover, genotypes ESWYT-136, ESWYT-104, ESWYT-123, Sarang and SKD-1 were resistant to leaf rust. In regard to yield related traits, genotypes ESWYT-136, ESWYT-104 and ESWYT-123 were superior in most of yield related traits. Hence ESWYT-136, ESWYT-104 and ESWYT-123 are recommended for cultivation in Sakrand, Sindh and must be used in future breeding programs.
