Emulgels are a type of topical drug delivery system that combines the properties of emulsions and gels. They are typically composed of an oil phase, a water phase, and a gelling agent. In the present study, three different emulgels of diclofenac sodium were prepared and evaluated for physiochemical properties, in vitro drug release and in vitro drug permeation. The three emulgels were found better when compared to AGFD in terms of viscosity, pH, spreadability, in vitro drug release and in vitro drug permeation
