Abstract

The attempt to understand pain represents one of the oldest challenges in the history of medicine. Pain is an unpleasant entity inviting prompt medical action, as a symptom and, therefore, is a single dreadful clinical feature making the patient to seek medical help early which in turn is immensely helpful in early diagnosis and prompt treatment.
