Abstract

A virtual assistant (VA) is a software program or computer-based system that can perform tasks and provide information on behalf of a user. The technology behind virtual assistants is based on natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning (ML) algorithms, which allow them to understand and respond to user requests in a human-like manner. VAs can be accessed through a variety of platforms such as smartphones, computers, and smart home devices. They can assist users in scheduling appointments, setting reminders, making phone calls, sending messages, playing music and providing information such as weather, traffic and news. VAs can also be integrated with other applications and services such as calendars, email, and social media. This technology is increasingly popular as it can be used on the go and it is designed to improve the user's experience and productivity
