This narrative review explores the intricate relationship between nurse-patient communication and medication adherence, delving into the significant impact of effective communication strategies on patient outcomes. Nurse-patient communication serves as a fundamental aspect of healthcare delivery, encompassing verbal and non-verbal exchanges that facilitate understanding, empathy, and collaborative decision-making. The review examines theoretical models, communication techniques, and challenges encountered in nurse-patient interactions, emphasizing the importance of clear, empathetic communication in promoting medication adherence. Medication adherence, defined as the extent to which patients follow prescribed medication regimens, plays a crucial role in disease management and treatment outcomes.
