These characteristics include being a team player, quick, responsive, positive, brave, self-confident, facilitator, open, resilient, a good learner, a good teacher, creative, competitive, imaginative, fun, reliable, motivated, enthusiastic, inspirational, committed, persuasive, adaptable, flexible, self-aware, and intuitive. Based on these characteristics, they have classified soft skills into various categories, such as employee development/coaching, customer service, goal orientation, planning/organizing, diplomacy, personal effectiveness, negotiation, persuasion, empathy, leadership, teamwork, interpersonal skills, problem-solving, creativity, information exchange, adaptability, presentation, ongoing learning, prospective thought, decision-making, self-management, and listening. The study considers 14 core dimensions of soft skills, which include leadership, teamwork, interpersonal skills, problem-solving, creativity, information exchange, adaptability, presentation, continuous learning, futuristic thinking, decision-making, self-management, and listening. The research involved formulating hypotheses covering various dimensions and testing them using appropriate statistical techniques. The data were coded and analyzed with the SPSS software package tool to establish relationships between different dimensions, discriminating between students from urban and rural backgrounds.
