HTTP flood attacks are a major security threat to websites and servers, causing downtime and negatively impacting the user experience. In a software-defined network (SDN), these attacks can be particularly challenging to detect and mitigate due to the dynamic nature of the network and the high volume of traffic. The goal of this project is to design and implement a time-based solution for detecting and mitigating high rate HTTP flood attacks in an SDN environment, ensuring the availability and reliability of network services.
