Management of pseudo transposition of canine could be very challenging with conventional continuous arch mechanics due to the lack of root control. Segmented arch mechanics involves retraction canines into the extraction space using retraction springs which provide adequate root control. A case report of 13 years old female patient with severe crowding and pseudo- transposition of canine treated using segmental mechanics with 0.017x0.025โ TMA PoulGjessing (PG) spring for retraction is presented. The treatment results showed correction of canine position with ideal alignment of crown and root.
