An efficient analytical approach for detecting and quantifying emamectin benzoate insecticide residues in raw banana peel and pulp samples was developed and validated using a modified QuEChERS technology and liquid chromatography mass spectrometry/mass spectroscopy (LC-MS/MS). Linearity, detection limits, quantification limits, precision, accuracy, and uncertainty were used to validate the approach. The detection and quantification limits for raw banana pulp and raw banana peel and pulp samples were 0.005 and 0.01 μg g-1, 0.001 and 0.003 μg g-1, respectively. The recovery investigation was conducted at five different fortification levels ranging from 0.01 to 0.1 g mL-1.
