Abstract

Metallo-organic drugs of Cu(II) and Ag(I) with (E)-N'-(2-hydroxybenzylidene)-4-(4-((Z)-(2-hydroxybenzylidene)amino)phenoxy)benzohydrazide Schiff Base ligand have much potential as therapeutic and cytotoxic agents against hepatocellular carcinoma cell line -2. Specific examples involving the design of metal complexes as anticancer agents are discussed. These complexes have been synthesized and characterized by transmission electron microscope (TEM), Scanning electron microscope with EDEX, (mass, IR, UV-VIS and ESR) spectroscopy, XRD, as well as magnetic moments, conductance, elemental and thermal analyses.
