Abstract

Healthcare systems worldwide are facing significant challenges in managing resources efficiently and minimizing waste. This review article explores various interventions aimed at reducing healthcare waste and inefficiencies to improve the quality of care and optimize resource utilization. The review examines a range of strategies, including process optimization, technology implementation, policy changes, and behavioral interventions, that have been employed in healthcare settings to address these issues. By synthesizing evidence from existing literature, this review provides insights into the effectiveness of different interventions and identifies key factors that contribute to successful waste reduction initiatives. Understanding these interventions and their impact is crucial for healthcare organizations seeking to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and deliver better patient outcomes.
