Abstract

Delhi area is dealing with the issue of shortage of water consistently. To check this issue, different endeavors have been made. Water reaping is such a work which can be utilized to actually resolve the issue of lack of water. This should be possible by developing check Dams, Permeation Tank, Bore well, Dug well, Dug cum bore well, Homestead Lake, and so forth. In the current exposition, Determination of appropriate water reaping site are completed with the assistance of GIS and remote detecting in Delhi locale. In this study appropriateness of water gathering destinations is completed by GPS, Overview of India toposheets on size of 1:250,000, SRTM information for production of DEM and satellite symbolism of LANDSAT ETM+ (30mt. spatial goal).
