Abstract

Effective communication and teamwork among healthcare professionals play a crucial role in ensuring optimal patient care and improving public health outcomes. This review article explores various strategies aimed at enhancing communication and teamwork among nurses, emergency staff, and physiotherapists to achieve better public health outcomes. The review synthesizes current literature on communication barriers and challenges faced by these healthcare professionals and proposes evidence-based solutions to foster collaboration and synergy within interdisciplinary teams. The review highlights the importance of clear and open communication channels among healthcare professionals to facilitate the exchange of critical information, coordinate patient care, and enhance decision-making processes. Strategies such as interprofessional education, team-building exercises, and the implementation of standardized communication protocols are discussed as effective interventions to improve communication and teamwork dynamics within healthcare settings. Furthermore, the review examines the role of leadership, organizational culture, and technology in shaping communication and teamwork practices among nurses, emergency staff, and physiotherapists. Effective leadership strategies that promote a culture of trust, respect, and collaboration are essential for fostering effective teamwork and enhancing patient outcomes. Additionally, the integration of technology tools such as electronic health records and communication platforms can streamline communication processes and improve information sharing among healthcare professionals.
