A number of scoring systems have been designed to help ascertain risk factors to predict poor outcome in patients with UGIB. Present study is aimed to assess the effectiveness of these five variables from the BLEED criteria and their ability to promptly predict the complications from acute upper gastrointestinal haemorrhage.
