Trend study of rainfall and temperature have been of great concern during the past century as well as today because of the consideration has been given to global climate change by the scientific community. The study of trends in rainfall and temperatureare very important for a country like India whose food security and economy are dependent on the timely availability of water such as 83% water used for agriculture sector, 12% for industrial sector and only 5% for domestic sector(source: MoWR, GOI, 2017-18). So the present study attempted to know the trend of rainfall, mean maximum temperature, mean minimum temperature and rainy days of Pantnagar for the period (1961-2018) and (1981- 2018) Respectively. For this purpose, rainfall data have been collected from Agrometeorological observatory, Norman E. Borlaug Crop Research Centre, Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, PantnagarUdhamsinghnagar district (Uttarakhand).
