Background:Acintobacter baumannii (A. baumannii) associated with hospital acquired sepsis in pediatric patients represent health care problem. The multidrug resistance of A. baumanni is a risk factor associated with this organism. Objective: The present study aims were to i. study the presence of virulence factors of A. baumannii isolated from bacteremia from children in ICUs, ii. Study antibiotics resistance of isolated A.baumannii regarding ESBL and carbapenemase, iii. Study the association between the virulence factors, extended-spectrum-β-lactamase(ESBL) and crabapenemase activity.
