In peacetime, the causes of fractures of the lower jaw are most often blows and bruises received during a fall, compression, etc. Currently, the frequency of transport and household injuries has increased. A fracture of the lower jaw usually occurs as a result of the impact of a force that exceeds the physical capabilities of the bone tissue. Such a fracture is called traumatic.
