The synergistic antioxidant and anti-diabetic properties of powdered methanolic extracts of Swertia chirata (Gentianaceae) and Allium sativum (Liliaceae) plants have been investigated utilizing in vitro methods. Using methanol as a solvent, the extraction was carried out using the Soxhlet apparatus. To carry out the experiments, methanolic extracts of each plant were used. The methanolic extracts of both plant materials were subjected to preliminary phytochemical screening
