SYNTHESIS OF NEWER OXADIAZOLE SUBSTITUTED AZETIDINONE DERIVATIVES AND THEIR ANTIMICROBIAL ACTIVITY

Abstract

A new series of 2-({[5-(3-chloro-2-oxo-4-substituted-phenylazetidin-1-yl)-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl]methyl} amino)benzoic acid (13-20) have been synthesized from 2-[({5-[(substituted-benzylideneamino]-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl}methyl)amino]-benzoic acid (5-12). All these synthesized compounds have been screened for their antimicrobial activity. The structures of all these newly synthesized compounds have been established by IR, 1H-NMR spectroscopic data and elemental analyses
