Objectives: Orthodontic appliances remain in the mouth for several months, increasing the possibility of bacterial colonization, especially by Streptococcus mutans, a natural oral flora. This study aimed to investigate the adhesion levels of S. mutans on nickel-titanium (NiTi) and stainlesssteel archwires of different dimensions.
