This study which entitled " The Role of Empowerment in the Performance of Healthcare Employees" aims at exploring the main role of empowerment in the performance of healthcare employees in Saudi Arabia. And to find out if there is a positive relationship between empowerment and the employees' performance. The study followed the descriptive and analytical and the sample which consists of (114) a hundred and fourteen participants was chosen purposefully from the maternity and children hospital in Hafr Al Batin, Saudi Arabia during the year 2022. A questionnaire was used as tool to collect the required data. The data were analyzed by Statistical Packages for Social Science (SPSS) programme. The results revealed that the empowerment has great role in the performance of healthcare employees. Moreover, there is a positive relationship between the empowerment and employees' performance. The study recommends that, empowerment should be reinforced by the leaders and mangers of healthcare centers so as to move toward a high level of implementation. Saudi healthcare organizations should do more to increase employee empowerment, as this could enhance service quality without the spending of financial resources.
