Abstract

This paper examines the pivotal role of nurses in enhancing patient outcomes through effective performance evaluation and the implementation of evidence-based practice guidelines. Nurses play a crucial role in the healthcare system, serving as frontline caregivers and advocates for patients. By evaluating their performance and adhering to established practice guidelines, nurses can significantly impact patient outcomes, including mortality rates, complication rates, and overall quality of care. This paper synthesizes existing literature to analyze the various aspects of nursing practice that contribute to improved patient outcomes. It also discusses the importance of continuous professional development and ongoing training to ensure nurses are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver high-quality care. The findings underscore the need for healthcare organizations to support nurses in their efforts to enhance patient outcomes through performance evaluation and adherence to best practices.
