THERMAL BEHAVIOR OF FERROCENOYLACETONE BENZOYLHYDRAZONE AND ITS COMPLEX WITH COPPER(II) ION

Abstract

We obtained β-diketone-1-ferrocenibutanedione-1,3 (ferrocenoylacetone) by Claisen condensation. Hydrazone (H2L) of 1-ferrocenylbutanedione-1,3 benzoic acid was synthesized by the reaction of monocarboxylic acid hydrazide with ferrocenoylacetone. On its basis, a complex with a copper(II) ion was obtained.The thermal properties of the resulting ligand, ferrocenoylacetonebenzoylhydrazone and its complexCuL.NH3, were studied.
