Background: Dental office is often seen as a potential source for contracting airborne infections and this has been amplified with the emergence of COVID-19 like diseases. Conventionally used pre-procedural rinses have shown moderate success against airborne microorganisms. Therefore a search for newer novel therapeutic protocols is often necessary. Photodynamic therapy/Photo-activated Pre-procedural rinses are seen as better alternative to conventionally used pre-procedural rinses.
