Abstract

In this study, DC Magnetron sputtered Vanadium Pentoxide thin films with Hydrogen gas-sensing properties have been focused, on solid-state gas sensors. We reported a novel approach that significantly improves the hydrogen sensing response of V2O5 thin film by illumination of UV light based on the UV light illumination gas response of the sensor change. The Sputtered V2O5 thin films have undergone various characterization processes, such as XRD, Raman, optical, EDX with SEM, and photoluminescence. The gas sensing response was calculated at room temperature of 27° C of Hydrogen gas concentration of 20 ppm, it remarkably enhanced the sensing performance under UV light irradiation by about 126%.
