Abstract

The possibility of exploring the lung using ultrasound, at the bedside and noninvasively, is going popularity among intensivists. Aim: to evaluate the validity of lung ultrasound compared to CT chest for diagnosis of ARDS and prediction of successful weaning from mechanical ventilation in those patients compared to traditional methods. (spontaneous breathing trial (SBT), arterial blood gases (ABG) and standard parameters of weaning).
