Aim: The current study aimed to evaluate the wound healing property of Saraca indica (roxb.) de Wild on the streptozocin-induced diabetic rat model. Method: Streptozotocin (40 mg kg-1 BW), dissolved in citrate buffer (pH 4.5), was injected intraperitoneally (i.p.) into fasted rats to induce diabetes. Evaluation of wound contraction, along with biochemical status during wound healing in diabetic rats was performed by comparing the control and treatment groups.
