Abstract

Purpose: The rapid evolution of CAD-CAM technology in prosthodontics has led to the introduction of newer materials that could be precisely milled for the fabrication of dental prostheses. CAD-CAM polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) and Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) based polymer discs have been introduced by manufacturers which are claimed to be of better mechanical properties; however, a very few published reports that have evaluated mechanical properties of CAD/CAM denture base materials are present. The purpose of the study was to evaluate and compare flexural strength of different Denture Base Resins, including both PMMA and PEEK, fabricated by Conventional and CAD-CAM methods
