This article discusses some of the legal norms related to the reform of higher education in the new Uzbekistan (the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Education", decrees and resolutions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan aimed at reforming higher education and decisions of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan). At the same time, these legal norms play the role of the main factor in the process of reforms in the field of higher education; they are a necessary material for researchers conducting research in the field of education.
